A good place to begin

From machines to things for the table.

Spend the morning with textile and automobile engineering, then explore Noritake’s ceramics and green grounds. Two visits give the city’s manufacturing story room to unfold.

Choose the museum, then the neighbourhood

The Toyota industrial-technology museum is near Sako, while Toyota Automobile Museum is a different destination in Nagakute. SCMAGLEV and Railway Park needs a separate journey to Kinjofuto. Tokugawaen Garden and Tokugawa Art Museum have separate admission and calendars.

Nagoya Castle’s keep interior is closed; plan for Honmaru Palace and the grounds. Many museums close Mondays. Tokugawa Art Museum closes from 14 December 2026 to 4 January 2027. Visit lengths are editorial estimates, with time for a break.
