Nagoya · Osu
Begin the district with a temple visit.
The temple’s bright main hall gives Osu a clear starting point before the shopping streets. Take time in the precinct, then move into the arcades for browsing and a food break.

Look before joining the shopping streets
Pause in the courtyard and follow the temple’s signs for worship and photography. Religious services and temple events can change how the space is used. An ordinary visit should not depend on finding a particular market or festival taking place.
A compact combination
Continue east through the shopping district toward Kamimaezu, stopping where something interests you. The science museum is another possible anchor for a longer half-day. Put scheduled indoor visits first and leave flexible shopping time afterward.
