Look closely at the trains that changed travel.
Full-size railway vehicles make the development of Japanese rail travel tangible. Give the main collection time before adding a simulator, and treat the journey to Kinjofuto as part of a dedicated museum outing.

Start with the collection
Compare vehicle shapes and passenger spaces rather than rushing between photo stops. The museum brings Shinkansen and magnetic-levitation development into the same visit as other railway history. The 2011 photograph is an archival view of the hall, not a guarantee of today’s arrangement.
Keep simulator plans flexible
Check the current method for obtaining simulator slots on arrival or before travelling. A general ticket does not guarantee every activity. Families can make the trains the main event and leave a simulator optional; enthusiasts may want most of the day. This is outside the central walking districts.
