A shrine visit has its own rhythm
Leave the main approach clear and give worshippers space. Charms, prayers and ceremonies have separate office arrangements. Follow current photography instructions, especially around ceremonies; a visitor photograph is not a reason to interrupt worship.
Festival images are not an everyday scene
Tenjin Matsuri takes place in July, and the atmosphere then differs greatly from an ordinary weekday. For a regular visit, focus on the precinct and the adjoining shopping streets. Restoration and event arrangements can affect the view, so consult notices when a particular building is your priority.
