Slow down where the garden changes character.

Different garden spaces make Entsuin a rewarding contrast to neighbouring Zuiganji. Follow the paths at an easy pace, noticing changes in planting, water and the relationship between the garden and temple buildings.

Choose the ordinary garden visit first

The temple describes four garden areas with different characters. Let the setting guide the pace rather than searching only for one famous autumn view. Flowering and leaf colour depend on the season; the photograph is an archival image, not a forecast.

Check illumination and bead-making separately

The 2026 autumn illumination is scheduled for 24 October–23 November and may shorten daytime access. It uses its own arrangements. Bead-making also needs additional time and payment; check the current programme rather than assuming it comes with the garden ticket.
