Look above ground, then follow the art below.

The sculptural entrance makes this museum easy to distinguish from its neighbour. Build the visit around the current art programme, then use the surrounding Nakanoshima museums and riverside streets to shape the rest of the afternoon.

Watch the gap between exhibitions

The published programme ends its current exhibitions on 3 November 2026, with the next exhibitions beginning on 1 December. Do not assume galleries are open throughout the intervening installation period. Consult the calendar before travelling, especially for a November visit.

Two art museums, separate decisions

This is a different institution from Nakanoshima Museum of Art Osaka next door. Compare the programmes and select one if your afternoon also includes the Public Hall and tea. Collection and special-exhibition admissions have their own conditions; use the selected exhibition’s ticket information.
