At DAWN ver.β, a conversation across a café table can connect you with a person working from far away. Ory Laboratory’s café uses OriHime avatar robots operated by human “pilots” who face barriers to going out. The visit is an encounter with their hospitality, interests and personalities, enabled by remote-presence technology.

People behind the robots
Pilots control OriHime and OriHime-D remotely to serve and talk with guests. These interactions are human-led, so allow the conversation to unfold as you would with any host. Introduce yourself, ask about the café and follow the pilot’s interests.
For a Tokyo itinerary, the café offers a way to think about participation through an ordinary social experience: sharing food and conversation. Ask before recording a conversation or photographing a person, and respect each pilot’s choice about what to discuss.
Choose your visit
General admission is sold on the day and includes a drink. The listed price is ¥2,200 for ages 12 and over, ¥1,100 for ages 4–11, and free admission for ages three and under.
OriHime Diner is the advance-booked option with dedicated tabletop service, one meal and one drink. Prices are ¥5,500 for ages 12 and over and ¥2,750 for ages 4–11; admission is included. It requires at least two guests, including children. The operator does not accept same-day Diner reservations.
Use the official site to choose the appropriate booking service. General admission can accommodate a solo visitor. All listed prices include tax; check the selected service before paying.
Opening hours: October 2026 change
Through 18 October 2026, published hours are 11:00–19:00. From 19 October 2026, the operator announces 11:00–21:00, with final admission and last orders at 20:30. Additional Diner slots at 18:00 and 19:00 begin with that change.
Private events can affect access. Check the operator’s latest schedule for your date, especially when planning an evening visit.
Getting there and accessibility
The café is on the first floor of Nihonbashi Life Science Building 3, at 3-8-3 Nihonbashi-honchō. Shin-Nihombashi Exit 5 is nearby; Kodemmachō and Mitsukoshimae offer other approaches.
The operator describes a step-free interior, wheelchair-friendly circulation and an accessible toilet with a care bed. If you need a particular facility, assistance or dietary arrangement, discuss it when booking. A nearby station exit is not necessarily the best step-free route.
