Understand the building by moving through it.

This wooden hall on Iimoriyama is known for its double-helix circulation. Follow the visitor route slowly to experience how the ascending and descending paths fit within a compact structure.

Let circulation explain the design

The interest is in how the internal routes are arranged, not just the shape seen from outside. Keep a steady pace and space between visitors. The confined sloping route may not suit every mobility need; check directly if access inside is essential to your visit.

Make it part of an Iimoriyama visit

Allow time for the approach and the surrounding historical setting separately from the short interior route. Winter hours and sunset limit late visits. The castle is elsewhere in Aizuwakamatsu; use transport between districts rather than treating both as neighbouring buildings.
