A Family Ski Trip to Naeba

January 31, 2026 Our whole family took the Shinkansen to Naeba Ski Resort for a winter trip. The train ride made the adventure feel as if it began before we arrived—the snowy mountains slowly came into view outside the window. At Naeba, I practised skiing, played in the snow and enjoyed being together as a family. It was a cheerful winter day filled with fresh air, speed and many small discoveries.

Piano and Karate at the Talent Show

January 29, 2026 At our school talent show, I performed both piano and karate. They are very different kinds of practice, but each one asks for focus, rhythm and confidence. I was excited and a little nervous before going on stage. Playing the piano let me share music with everyone, and the karate performance reminded me to stand tall and move with spirit. It was a memorable day of trying my best in two ways.

Kagami Biraki and Judo Practice

January 10 I joined the ward’s Kagami Biraki gathering and spent the day practising judo. It was a special way to begin the year: the dojo was full of energy, and children and adults trained together with respect. I focused on listening carefully, moving with control and enjoying each practice with my partners. The New Year event reminded me that judo is not only about learning techniques—it is also about gratitude, courage and taking the next small step.
