Let everyday goods lead the visit

Look at what people buy for home rather than expecting every storefront to be a souvenir shop. Choose a food stop and leave time to compare small businesses. Shop opening times differ, so check any must-visit business first.

Add lanes carefully

Older houses and renovated spaces sit around the arcade, but the neighbourhood is still lived in. Follow public streets and do not enter private passages for a photograph. For a longer day, pair this district with the Museum of History using a separate walk or subway journey.
