Osaka · Ikeda City

An everyday invention, seen differently.

Discover instant noodles through the story of Momofuku Ando, a recreated research shed and displays of packaging. The Osaka Ikeda museum makes a satisfying trip for curious eaters; choose your hands-on activity before setting out.

Two different activities

Designing a cup and selecting soup and toppings is different from making Chicken Ramen. The latter requires a separate reservation. Check availability, age requirements and the activity calendar before promising a workshop to your group; museum admission alone does not secure one.

Make Ikeda a separate outing

Allow for the train journey and finish before the early last-entry cutoff. This is a museum with hands-on experiences, rather than a tour of a commercial production line. The museum has announced closures for 28 December 2026–2 January 2027 and 12–15 January 2027.
