Start with the vehicles
The historic fire engines provide an immediate introduction, then the upper floors connect equipment with the changing city. Allow children to choose a favourite vehicle before moving to the historical displays.
Keep a flexible outdoor plan
The fifth-floor outdoor helicopter area can close in rain, strong wind or extreme heat. A visit still works indoors. Leave large luggage elsewhere and use the designated tenth-floor lounge if bringing food.
