Flowers and a bay view, after a short ferry ride.

The northern part of Noko Island offers seasonal flower fields and views across Hakata Bay. The park is the focus of this outing, but the ferry and onward island bus are part of the planning too.

Choose the season, not a single photograph

Rapeseed, cosmos and other flowers create different views through the year. The image here shows spring planting in March 2018, not today’s conditions. Check the park’s latest flower report and allow the sea view and walk to be part of the reward even if a particular bloom is past its peak.

Leave a return-journey buffer

The island park is not beside the ferry landing. Include the bus journey at both ends, possible queues and the return sailing you intend to use. Strong wind can disrupt ferries. Check activity availability separately if pottery or another workshop is the main reason for travelling.
