Shibuya · Classical music café
Let Shibuya fall quiet.
Founded in 1926, Lion is a classical-music kissaten in Dogenzaka. Tall custom speakers and a collection of more than 10,000 recordings make listening the reason to visit.

Come for the music
The scheduled listening programmes last around an hour. These are recorded-music sessions. Drinks, including coffee, accompany the listening; the venue does not normally offer meals.
Plan a quiet stop
Keep conversation low and follow staff guidance on phones and photography. A solo visit works particularly well. Leave time to settle into a programme rather than treating the café as a quick photo stop.
