Haneda · Aviation & hangar tour
A closer view of the world above.
At Haneda, JAL SKY MUSEUM brings aviation history together with a guided look inside an aircraft maintenance hangar. The standard factory tour gives you time to explore the museum before entering the vast working space where aircraft are maintained. Reserve a place first, then make the journey to the airport’s maintenance district.

Museum first, then the hangar
The museum introduces the people, equipment and history behind flying. Its digital timeline places JAL’s story within the development of Japanese aviation. In the hangar, visitors move together with a guide; the aircraft present depend on operations. Aircraft interiors are not part of the visit.
Choose the standard factory tour
The museum-and-hangar itinerary lasts about two hours and ten minutes. Other courses may have different inclusions and prices: check the exact course when booking. JAL introduced admission fees with its November 2025 renewal, so older descriptions of a completely free tour are out of date.
Prepare for a working environment
Wear comfortable shoes and dress for outdoor temperatures, as the hangar has no air conditioning. Avoid high heels, sandals and thick platform soles. Use the toilet before entering the hangar. Store large luggage at a station or airport terminal rather than relying on the museum’s limited lockers.
Check your booking details
Read the visitor instructions supplied with your reservation, including participant information and any documents needed for entry. Confirm language support with JAL if you need an English-guided visit. Still photographs are generally permitted with exceptions; follow staff instructions and the official rules on sharing images.
