Read the building from inside
The design came from the Tatsuno-Kasai architectural office. Look at the relationship between public banking space and the rooms included in the visitor route. Free and paid zones offer different levels of access; check what is open when events occupy part of the building.
Make a compact city pairing
The history museum nearby adds context for Morioka’s castle-town life and festivals. Plan each admission separately and leave a café or riverside pause between them. The red-brick building closes every Tuesday, while the museum has a different monthly closing pattern.
